AGS is short for "Artificial Grass Systems". MaxPlay AGS is a systemic approach to synthetic grass surface construction. What does that mean? Well, artificial grass performs best when all aspects of a project are considered. Therefore, MaxPlay is more than fake grass, it's a playing surface "system". The MaxPlay system, however, is not canned or a one-size-fits-all approach. Each application is different, and we treat them differently. The artificial grass product itself, does not vary much. Variations come primarily in the sub-surface preparation, drainage system, and edge details.

A. Turf Product
MaxPlay is the turf. AGS is the system. MaxPlay is a slit-film polyethylene, tufted through a polypropylene primary backing, with a urethane secondary backing. Our Triple-Play 8-year system warranty is the best in the industry.

B. Infill Material
MaxPlay's MaxFill M-1 Blend infill is 100% crumb rubber. However, it is in this component where the variations in product can begin. MaxPlay may be in-filled with black crumb rubber, engineered EPDM with color options, or other combinations of infill. Information is available as to the costs and benefits of each product. Our MaxFill M-1 crumb rubber is the cleanest rubber in the business - reducing the level of rubber dust pollution in your facility.

C. Sub-Surface Preparation
The key to any quality building project, is a solid foundation. MaxPlay AGS employs a sub-surface preparation plan to accommodate the specific soil conditions on your project site. This ensures that your MaxPlay AGS will always perform at the highest level possible. MaxPlay's Project Team includes geotechnical and civil engineers with experience in artificial playing surface construction. Our construction teams employ technicians with years of experience in foundation and drainage system installation.

D. Drainage
Drainage goes hand-in-hand with the sub-surface preparation. MaxPlay AGS' Project Team has experience in water movement, specifically dewatering. We evaluate how much water has to move off the field how quickly, and what amount of slope is acceptable on your playing surface. We take these issues into account as we develop a cost-effective sub-surface design for your project. Some projects require extensive drainage systems, which may have a significant impact on project costs, while other projects may allow a much simpler means of evacuating water - saving thousands of dollars which may be used to purchase other necessary equipment. Again, each project is unique, and we are committed to giving you the performance you need, at the best price possible.

E. Edging
MaxPlay AGS can be made to work in many applications. The best installations occur when the AGS can be installed against a hard perimeter edge. This helps us to fasten the edges of the product, so that trip-hazards are not created, and the infill material is held in place. Other applications, however, such as partial-AGS installs (18 yard boxes on soccer fields blending to natural grass, baseball infields against dirt areas, etc.) require other installation techniques. Your MaxPlay Project Team will assist you to develop the best cost-versus-benefit solution for your unique application.
